With the support of the Town Council, Marshal Brian Maynard brought Morgan Allen aboard to expand services for first responders and the community. In a recent public meeting, Town Attorney John Kellerman officially swore in Allen as Sunman’s newest Special Officer and Mental Health Professional. She brings expertise in crisis intervention, substance use disorder, and victim support—skills that will directly benefit both community members in distress and the first responders who serve them. This initiative expands the resources available for individuals experiencing difficult circumstances while also addressing the often-overlooked needs of police officers and emergency personnel. By ensuring responders have access to the care they need, Sunman is investing in both public safety and the well-being of those who answer the call.
